To provide a fun and friendly, yet competitive golf league that will cater to all skill levels.
The rules of golf will always be the standard of our play.
Registration:
Registration is open to the public and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. We have plenty of spots for new members, however, league membership will probably fill before the 1st event.
Cost: $100
The cost is broken down into handicap registration, weekly payouts, administrative costs, and the Spring and Year-End Banquets.
Weekly Sign-Up:
Each week, the Golf Shop will have a sign-up sheet for players to sign up the group and starting hole. Formats vary from individual, two person
Handicaps:
It is important that all Mens League members understand handicapping. A USGA handicap is a mathematical average of your 10 lowest of the 20 posted scores in the computer. This means if you shoot your handicap, you have played a better than average round. It is not normal to shoot at or below your handicap each time you play.
To ensure proper handicap, follow these guidelines:
-Enter all scores in the handicap computer, whether good or bad
-Make sure to properly adjust all scores. We will have the adjustment sheet next to the computer
-Enter all Tournament and Away scores properly
-Remember: posting scores is your responsibility
-Sandbagging will not be tolerated
Payouts and Results:
All payouts will come from a portion of the $100 league fee and 100% of the $5 weekly event fee at check-in. Gift certificates will be issued to the winners and can be picked up the next week in the golf shop. A results sheet will be posted following the event for your viewing. -Secretary: results sheets, newsletters, signup sheets, etc.
-Treasurer: assist the President in balancing League account
-Handicap Chairman: score entry, handicap adjusting
